Mid-term Cruise Vacations

Mid-term Cruise Vacations

So, you know you want to take a cruise, and you want enough time to unwind. That means a one or two-day cruise is out of the question. Instead, you should be looking for a four to five-day cruise.

Luckily, there are a number of options for these types of cruises available on the market. Among the larger cruise lines, Carnival Cruises has just added more sailings from the docks in San Diego offering vacations to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico. These are four to five-day vacation package holidays. These cruises allow you to see a new country even if you don’t have a week or two to use for your vacation time.

The addition of these new cruises is good news for another reason. These cruises mean there are more options in the five and six-day cruise arena to choose from. The more cruises, the more flexible the prices often are as well.

Now that you’ve read about those cruises if you are interested in those but don’t live in California near the San Diego dock, never fear. Luckily, there is a major international airport nearby so flights into the airport from anywhere in the country are easy to come by. If you set up the flight right, you may be able to fly in, get a ride out to the docks, and get aboard before your ship leaves on the voyage.

If you are looking to use as few of your vacation days as you can, you may want to look into a Thursday through Monday cruise, You only use a few work days, and it makes both the work week before and after the trip go faster since you are not going to have to deal with a full five day work week.

While the weather where you live may not always be nice, somewhere else there is a cruise that is. That means if you are in an area that gets cold snowy winters and you know you will want to escape that this year, you should book a cruise somewhere nice and warm that you will be able to look forward to as your escape from the cold.

One warm water ship that offers a number of places to go to escape the cold is the Carnival Cruise Ship Elation. This ship is 855 feet of luxury. Among the vacations offered by this ship, 12 lounges and bars, three pools, a jogging track, a number of shopping venues, and a 12,000 square foot health club. For those who can’t totally get away from work, or just like to keep up with their e-mail, this ship also has an Internet Café and WiFi.

When it comes to finding things to eat, you will not have a problem finding things; you’ll just have a problem controlling yourself from trying to eat it all! There are three upper scale sit-down restaurants, a pizza café and many other meal options. If you just want to stay in your room for the day, complementary room service is also available.
